1、 General introduction
Like the native sketching tool in SketchUp, you can draw edges, curves, points, reference lines, etc. with special protractors and inference aids. It is a plug-in that can completely replace the native tool< br />Note: Mac support may not be stable on Windows< br />
After activating the tool, click TAB to pop up the toolbar, which is more convenient to operate< br />
2、 Specific functions of professional line drawing plug-in
1. Enter numeric values to draw: length value, absolute coordinate, relative coordinate, angle value (or angle lock)< br />2. Angle snap painting:
① Snaps to the angle defined in the model information< br />② Snap to the angle, defined in the professional sketch line settings< br />③ When drawing, you can "dynamically" create/delete reference lines, including: angle snap, face normal, arc/circle/polygon normal, arc/circle/polygon real tangent, bisector and point as the proportion between the other side, midpoint (the line to the "record" point, and the midpoint between them), etc< br />④ The protractor is automatically placed and easy to adjust. The protractor can be resized< br />3. Length snap drawing:
① You can snap to the length defined in the model information< br />② You can force length snapping to cover some graphic interference (note this)< br />4. Special functions for drawing edges:
① Draw a curve (polyline)< br />② Draw a point-to-point reference line< br />③ Draw an infinite guide line< br />④ Create a reference point when drawing any boundary< br />⑤ If the edges intersect, you can click the button to switch whether to break the edges< br />⑥ Generally, when the coplanar line is drawn and closed, it will automatically form a plane. Click the button here to switch whether to form a plane< br />⑦ You can click the button to switch whether to create a face and start painting again< br />⑧ You can click the button to switch whether to display the drawing information, display coordinates, display the angle with the last line, and display the angle of the protractor x-axis in the upper left corner< br />5. You do not need to "drag and drop" to create lines< br />
3、 Basic operation

1. You can position the protractor by hovering the cursor over a face/edge/vertex and carefully moving it< br />2. Click the starting point of the line< br />3. You can set the direction of the protractor by holding down Ctrl (or Ctrl+Alt or Ctrl+LMB or Ctrl+Alt+LMB or Ctrl+Shift) and moving the cursor. Release the key to set the current position and direction of the protractor< br />4. You can click and hold down the left mouse button at the starting point, and then move the cursor to" Guides" On, set the angle lock direction, and then release the left mouse button< br />5. You can press the Alt key to cycle through angle capture in three cases:
① Lock the angle and lock it on the protractor plane< br />② There is no locking angle, but it is locked on the protractor plane< br />③ There is no angle snap or lock (like the" normal" line tool)< br />6. Move the cursor< br />7. Click the end of the line, and there are four ways to end the drawing:
① Enter the desired length value and press Enter< br />② Enter the comma [,] (enter the semicolon [;] on the Chinese input method) and the required angle value, and then press Enter to get the" Lock the reference line ".
③ Enter the required length value, and then enter the comma [,] (enter the semicolon [;] on the Chinese input method) and the required angle value to get the line relative to the X axis of the protractor in the protractor plane< br />④ Press Enter directly to use the last used length and/or angle value (if any)< br />8. You can move the cursor< br />9. You can click to create a connection line< br />10. You can press ESC to start from scratch (with a new line group)< br />11. You can repeat the above steps to create a connecting line, or return to the start point of the first line to create a face< br />Note: Dragging and dropping to create lines does not work here! (LMB=left mouse button, RMB=right mouse button)
4、 Modifier key/shortcut key

● TAB (or RMB double click)=Settings dialog box (toolbar) *
● Shift=Lock the line in the current extension direction
● Arrow key=lock the line in the specific extension direction (up=blue, left=green, right=red, down=parallel/perpendicular to the previous line)< br />● Alt=Toggle angle capture/locking method
● Ctrl=determine the direction of the protractor 2D (around the Z axis of the protractor)
● Ctrl+Alt=Determine the direction of the protractor 2D (around the protractor X axis)
● Ctrl+Alt+LMB=direction of the 3D measuring instrument (around the origin of the measuring instrument through the X axis of the measuring instrument)
● Ctrl+Shift+hover on the face=make the Z axis of the protractor consistent with the normal of the face< br />● Ctrl+R=Create guide lines and points (arc/circle/polygon normal, in the center) *
● Ctrl+T=Create guide lines and points (arc/circle/polygon real tangent, at the tangent point) *
● Ctrl+B=Create guide line and point (double tangent, and point as the proportional division between edges, the other end) *
● Ctrl+D=Create guide line and point (straight line to record point and middle point) *
● Origin=size of switching protractor *
● End=switch additional angular speed *
● PgUP/PgDown=Switch the linetype to be drawn *
● LMB click the origin of the protractor=close angle capture/delete the last lead
● LMB click the origin of the protractor, press and hold LMB while moving the cursor and hovering on the spokes of the protractor=set the angle locking direction (create a guide line)
● Esc=Start from scratch (set new line)
*When you release the key, the command will complete (LMB=left mouse button, RMB=right mouse button)< br />
5、 Set the size and position of the toolbar

After activating the professional line drawing tool, press TAB to display the toolbar, and you can adjust the size of the window at will. The next time you run this tool, the location and size will be displayed automatically. You can set the font/icon size by selecting the appropriate value in the upper right corner. Please use the Save button to save the settings< br />
6、 Processing protractor

Generally speaking, the protractor will be automatically placed according to the current situation under the cursor, or determined by the last created line. It is similar to a local protractor or rotary tool< br />1. However, you may change the direction after the protractor is placed, for example:
● Hold down the Ctrl key and move the mouse=determine the direction of the protractor 2D (around the protractor Z axis)
● Hold down the Ctrl+Alt key and move the mouse=determine the direction of the protractor 2D (around the protractor X axis)
● Hold down Ctrl+LMB and move the mouse=determine the direction of the protractor 3D (around the protractor origin through the protractor Z axis)
● Hold down Ctrl+Alt+LMB and move the mouse=determine the direction of the protractor 3D (through the protractor X axis around the protractor origin)
● Hold down Ctrl+Shift+hover on the face=position the Z axis of the protractor on the normal of the face
2. On the MAC, you may need to do this. LMB clicks the origin of the protractor, then holds down LMB, and then holds down Ctrl or Alt. The cursor icon will represent the current operation< br />3. The color of the outside of the protractor will change according to the direction of the Z axis of the protractor< br />4. Protractor" Spokes" Of" Density", Represents the current angle snap value. The outer spokes represent the original snapshot values, and the inner spokes represent the additional snapshot values. If the angle capture function is disabled, there will be no spokes, and the corresponding inner/outer part of the protractor will be a dotted circle< br />5. Unlike the original protractor, you can change the size of the protractor< br />● Click the Home button several times until you get the size you like< br />● Click the "Set Length Size" button and enter the size of the protractor in the setting dialog box. Click the "Set Length Size" button again to return to the default size< br />6. Please use the Save button to save your settings< br />
7、 Select what line to draw

You can select the type of line to be drawn by clicking the PgUP/PgDown button, or by clicking the corresponding icon on the toolbar. When drawing, you can choose to display the reference point at the end point< br />1. If you change the line type at the same time, some" Interesting" (especially changing to curve...)< br />2. Please use the "Save" button to save your linetype so that you can start using it next time< br />
8、 Change behavior
Be careful with old versions! Shows the old version for reference and testing purposes, you should use the latest version.
